Alice’s Picks
I pciked this as my favourite episode of last year for a couple of reasons. In one way it was a really difficult episode for me because it was the first time Lucy and I were sitting down to record after Lola had passed away and I knew I was going to have to tell our listeners about it and how hard it had been. But I was also really looking forward to sitting down with Lucy to actually record an episode – it had been a really difficult six months for our family and podcasting had been one of the few fun and personal things I had been able to do. I was excited to sit down with my friend and just chat, even if it was going to be about a tough topic. And then when it came to actually recording the episode and talking about losing Lola I just remember feeling so cared for by Lucy and really supported by the response from our listeners, it made the pain of dragging up all the trauma and grief worth it. I also really enjoyed talking to Lucy about Midsomer Murders, my favourite guilty pleasure trash TV!
