Welcome to lABLEd Podcast, The Show about Disability Illness & Difference…

lABLEd is an independent, self-funded series, where Disabled guests talk about their personal experiences of Disability, Chronic Illness, and Health differences.

Alice and Lucy are two 30-something, women with disabilities and a lot to say. After meeting online at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic both of the discovered they  had a very similar approach to life and a similar outlook on disability;

Drawing on their own lived experiences of disability, lABLEd was created, and they believe that giving a platform to disabled voices has also helped them become better advocates for other disabled people and are learning so much from each guest we have on the podcast.

The rule for anyone who comes on lABLEd is to decide how you want to be defined. Whether you embrace medical terminology, reclaim a previously offensive eponym, or shake off the shackles of labelling altogether, no one else should make that decision for you

lABLEd aims to put the power of identification back in the hands of people who live those represented lives and Giving voice to disabled people is the cornerstone of what we do, With over 3,000 streams racked up, we have big plans for the future,

Alongside guest conversations, lABLEd has special episodes about Disability History – With regular guest appearances from Disability Historian Daisy Holder, and Disability in Film, Fiction and Art that we call fABLEd’s, (see what we did there?!) these episodes are laugh-out-loud, audience favourites.

Whether you’re a non-disabled ally, recently diagnosed with a disability or health condition or just want to hear more diverse stories in your podcasts, there’s something for everyone at lABLEd.
